WHY I LOVE WEINSTEIN WITH %1604 OF MY HEART
My Weinstein Journey and More By Sarah Anne Gerard
When I was about 14 or so, I found out that I was to be in BBYO. My parents had been in
BBYO and I was ready to continue on the tradition. When the day came for me to be picked up, girls dressed in bright red colored
tutus, blue stockings and bright smiles came to my door. I knew at once that I belonged to Ginny Weinstein BBG.
I
have been in Weinstein for one whole year.Weinstein is one of the largest chapters in the NTO region, is the consecutive volleyball
champion, the most spirited chapter, and has won Best Chapter in NTO for three years in a row. Though I do not have an executive
board position, I feel extremely connected to my chapter. I contribute my time and ideas through being a fold, attending meetings,
and being present at projects. I have obtained amazing leadership skills through Weinstein and have made many new friends.
Weinstein is one of the few chapters that does not have cliques. Any member can sit down at a table with another girl
and talk openly and not feel intimidated.Weinstein also has also kept me in touch with my Judaism. Before joining BBYO, I
was a Reform Jew who didnít hold strong religious values and didnít know much about my own faith. Through Weinstein, I have
connected with my religion, and I have a new view on life itself. I truly am a product of Ginny Weinstein BBG, and I thank
the lord everyday for blessing me with such an amazing chapter that cares for me, accepts me, and loves me unconditionally.
